This is the first-aid kit required for most low risk workplaces less than 20 minutes surface travel to the hospital with 11 to 50 workers on shift. 

 

This WorkSafeBC Occupational First Aid Level 1 Kit contains the supplies an Occupational First Aid Level 1 Attendant needs to provide first aid to:

 

  • Shifts of 6-30 workers in a workplace with a low risk of injury and that is more than 20 minutes surface travel time away from a hospital
  • Shifts of 31-50 workers in a workplace with a low risk of injury that is more than 20 minutes surface travel time away from a hospital (also need ETV equipment, and the first aid attendant needs Transportation Endorsement course)
  • Shifts of 11-50 workers in a workplace with a low risk of injury that is less than 20 minutes surface travel time away from a hospital
  • Shifts of 2-5 workers in a workplace with a moderate risk of injury that is more than 20 minutes surface travel time away from a hospital
  • Shifts of 6-15 workers in a workplace with a moderate risk of injury that is more than 20 minutes surface travel time away from a hospital (also need ETV equipment, and the first aid attendant needs Transportation Endorsement course)
  • Shifts of 6-25 workers in a workplace with a moderate risk of injury that is less than 20 minutes surface travel time away from a hospital
  • Shifts of 2-5 workers in a workplace with a high risk of injury that is more than 20 minutes surface travel time away from a hospital
  • Shifts of 6-10 workers in a workplace with a high risk of injury that is more than 20 minutes surface travel time away from a hospital (also need ETV equipment, and the first aid attendant needs Transportation Endorsement course)
  • Shifts of 2-15 workers in a workplace with a high risk of injury that is less than 20 minutes surface travel time away from a hospital

Whenever a WorkSafeBC Occupational First Aid Level 1 Kit is required, at least one employee with their WorkSafeBC Occupational First Aid Level 1 or Canadian Red Cross Emergency First-Aid certificate is required to be on shift.
